Thank you for checking This is my first time working with Azari, and I must say that their entire team is totally efficient and very quick to respond to maintenance issues once they find out about them. We moved into our home last Friday, and as soon as we moved in we began to notice several maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Once I notified them of these issues they were either quickly handled by their staff of maintenance, or sometimes they had to go through a third party. One of the issues was a refrigerator
freezer that neither cooled nor froze, once I notified Olga and Yianni they went above and beyond to make sure that an appliance repair technician was sent out immediately.
Once the tech got here and realized that parts would have to be ordered, they quickly approved the order, and since it was going to be several days before the part came in Olga contacted a rental agency and had a rental refrigerator sent out so that we could at least have a refrigerator. The owner had left lots of furnishings in the house, and prior to move in we had told Azari which of the furnishings we wanted (it was only one) they notified the owner that these needed to be removed prior to move in. On the day we signed the lease the owner advised them that the stuff would not be out in time for us to move in, at this point Manzar , swung into action and sent her maintenance staff to remove the furnishings so that we could move in. There was also issues with our first choice where it turned out that the owner was a scammer and Manzar told us to look at their properties and choose another one we liked, we looked at another property on Saturday and moved in on Thursday. So in summary I would highly recommend Azari and it's highly competent staff. I dealt with Manzar, Olga, Sopida, Yong and Yianni, they are all highly professional and extremely helpful! I would use Azari without hesitation.

There have been very few times in my life where a company or individual takes a vested interest in my well-being and goes above and beyond for me as a customer. The Azari Group as a whole, and specifically Manzar Azari and Olga Kusnetsova, are one of those organizations. I have had the privilege of working with Manzar twice over the past 5 years – once, as a rental tenant in a house she managed for the owners – the second, as a first-time home buyer looking to purchase a home here in the Bay Area. Manzar truly kept our best interests at heart as she represented both the home owner, and my wife and I as tenants gracefully, tactfully and with strict adherence to doing not just what was best, but what was right. As a real estate agent, she gave our family a lot of flexibility in how we were involved throughout the process, while being a shrewd negotiator (that clearly did her homework) during the purchase process of our home. I rent an in-law unit in San Francisco which is managed by Azari PM. I just moved in at the beginning of the month, but so far all my interactions with Azari have been helpful, friendly and efficient. The agent who showed me the unit was lovely and helped me and the landlord out immensely by making sure that I was a good fit for this unit and that it was a good fit for me. The accounting department and maintenance department have been very responsive to my questions and needs and very efficient in meeting them. I hope to be in this unit for a good long time. I know Azari from a tenant's perspective: they are the property managers at the building of an apartment I want to rent. All I can say to property owners is, boy, do they do a thorough screening of potential tenants! I would think every building owner would take comfort from that.. While it i a hassle as a tenant to come up with all the paperwork, Azari made it as smooth as possible.

I really loved the unit I looked at, and I'm afraid I made a pest of myself, emailing, texting, asking for status, while my application was being considered. The folks at Azari always responded, and never seemed irritated at how much I was contacting them.A special shout out goes to Derek and Jenny, who stayed in touch with me throughout the whole process.

I would happily live in a building managed by Azari, and I think a property owner would feel secure knowing that a professional team is looking out for their interests.

***I want to update this review with further compliments for Azari. While working with them to get that "perfect" San Francisco apartment, I found what I was looking for, only to have the owner of the property reject me because of qualms about my employment situation. (I am a consultant, so I don't have the every-two-weeks pay stub to show). I loved this apartment so much, though, that I went straight to Manzar Azari, the owner, with all my bank statements and perfect credit report, and Manzar went to bat for me with the owner, explaining my situation in detail and why I would be a perfect tenant.

I had never met Manzar and she didn't know anything about me. But she listened patiently when I explained my situation, then she took up my cause. What property manager does that? Manzar said it's because the tenants are as important to her as the owners, and I believe it. It makes sense, because the owners are counting on the property management to get them good, stable tenants, while the tenants want to know that their tenancy will be trouble-free. It's like a match-making service!

I really can't say enough about Azari. They went the extra mile for me and now I have an apartment that I just love and hope to stay in for a long time.

As a renter, I usually shy away from property mgmt companies. In my experience, they’ve always taken advantage of their 3rd party nature and done everything in their power to suck away every cent we have. In fact, for a long time I thought their entire purpose was to enable a landlord to find creative ways to keep a security deposit and to defer any repair requests behind a wall of red tape.

That all changed when we met Manzar Azari (Broker at Azari Property Management ). Manzar has been the opposite of that impersonal evil that had turned us so off to rental agencies in the past. The direct result to the landlord, is that we as renters respect the property much more then if we just temporary occupants.

Manzar makes us feel like we’re staying in our Mom’s place. Accordingly, we take it upon ourselves to effect smaller repairs, and work diligently to improve the property in most circumstances. At a minimum we try to minimize our impact in all things, just out of respect for Manzar’s work ethic and touch.

The long and the short of it is, if you hire Azari Property Management to manage your property you won’t get the faceless corp that doesn’t care about you, the property, or your renters. They have the unique gift of bringing all the parties together, mediating on needs, keeping everything fair, and it makes renting painless.

You can’t ask for more then that as either a renter or a landlord. I hope to continue my relationship with Azari Prop Mgmt until such a time as I become an owner myself.

We've been renting through Azari for approximately a year and a half now. It has been nothing but positive. From our first viewing of the home, they have been willing to work with us on anything we need. Some examples: 1) The owners had indicated they didn't want pets. Azari was willing to discuss our cats with them, showing them our references, and the property owners agreed to allow the kitties to stay. 2) Paying rent is easy as they have several ways of accepting payments... you can mail them a check, do a direct transfer, or even walk into their bank and pay it directly to their account. We have used all three on different occasions, and it helps make sure rent is paid on time every month. 3) We've needed repairs done a couple of times, and they are prompt (as much as possible considering they need the owner's approval for work to be done). 4) We needed a reasonable adjustment to our lease terms with our renewal, and they were happy to oblige.

Everyone there is friendly and responds to emails or phone calls quickly. They check up on the home in person every 6 months, which would be comforting for us if we were the property owners. We wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again, and if we had property in this area we would absolutely consider them as our management team.

I have been a renter for a many years now in cities ranging from Kapaa Kauaii to Redding California and in all my years I have never known a property manager like Manzar Azari. She is one of a kind. It's hard leaving home, being away from the protection of my family in one cold town after another. But with Manzar Azari at my side i feel like I am right back at home with my mother watching over me. I got a problem, she's gonna fix it; I need some help, she's gonna give it. Heck, she even gave me her personal cell number!!! Not to mention that the woman can cook some of the best Iranian cuisine I have ever known! convenient for renters
We rented an apartment from Manzar at Azari Property Management. The apartment is great, and her management is generally nice and hands-off. She offered convenient payment options like pre-dating checks. She's a fun person as well. Manzar is there to answer questions when we have them and communicate needs to the landlord, although she tends to be more of his advocate than ours - good for him I guess though as he's the primary customer and she keeps us out of his hair! However on repairs and such it has generally made more sense to just deal with him directly. I was hesitant to go with a managed rental but now I see that it's actually quite convenient.

I moved to the city and contacted Manzar about apartments in the city and within a few hours she had locations for me to view. The first apartment I viewed was all it took and I couldn't be happier. I cannot recommend Manzar highly enough and she will be my first call whenever I am looking.

There are many Real Estate Brokers out there, but I find Azari Property Management exceptionally well-balanced with the way they carryout the business. We have rented from several rental agencies & landlords in San Francisco. We can say without a doubt, none of them have even come close to comparing with Azari Property Management. I regret that I didn't find them sooner! Azari stands so far above the rest because, they are highly professional. Renters are treated as high valued clients, which in my experience is rare. In addition, we felt confident through the whole process that things would be done to our level of satisfaction. My roommates and I were looking for a suitable apartment/house for some time. During the arduous process of scouring the depths of various online sources, we stumbled upon Azari Property Management. Our experience with Azari has been excellent, to say the least. I was moving back to San Francisco August first and needed an apartment/house when I got there. I didn't want to deal with finding a unit when I arrived to the city. Azari had a posting for a very nice three-bedroom home for rent; the posting was on a well-known online resource, i.e., craigs... Having submitted my application material less than a week before arriving in SF, I had a place the moment I got to the city. Azari made the process simple and pleasant. I highly recommend the services of Azari Property Management for anyone looking for nice unit in the San Francisco bay area.

I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience in looking for an apartment than I received with Azari properties. After I moved to San Francisco from New York, I knew I had a minimal amount of time to find an apartment. I searched furiously for a week, scouring Craigslist and going to impersonal open houses. As soon as I set foot in the apartment I now call my own, I knew it was the perfect place. Manzar was wonderful—she was professional and helpful and made me feel completely comfortable. During the process of signing my lease, I truly felt Manzar was on my side to have all my needs met. Wow. Let me first start by saying, thank you again Azari Property Management for not only helping me find my amazing apartment but for helping with my transition to this new and exciting city. About a month ago I relocated to San Francisco from Charlotte, NC. Not knowing a single soul or anything about the city, I decided to go on Craig's list to look for an apartment. I found Azari Property Management, checked out the website and called. From the moment Manzar answered the phone I felt so much more comfortable about my move. I informed Azari Property Management of my arrival time and Manzar went as far as offering to pick me up from the airport! Knowing that I was in a major time crunch, she didn't want me to worry about finding a unit, so she offered me her loft to stay in temporarily until we found the perfect unit! Manzar was able to find me an amazing apartment within just a few days of my arrival to the city! I couldn't believe it. The apartment fit my every requirement except that it came semi-furnished. Among the many things that Manzar was able to negotiate with the owner, one was having the furniture moved out since my furniture was already on its way over! I was stunned at how much time and dedication Azari Property Management put in this whole operation. I told her that I needed a lock on my window and the next day she personally went to the hardware store and had someone install the lock for me! The day my furniture was being delivered she called and offered to come over to help me move everything in! I just can't say enough about how much Azari Property Management takes care of its clients. Words can't describe the dedication and sincerity that they offer. I usually don’t write reviews and actually never have but I couldn’t go another day knowing that there may be other people who are in my same situation that I was in and who could use a company such as Azari Property Management. The fact that all of you also are attentive to reltionships with your clients is a big plus for me. Corporate America has forgotten the meaning of customer service in my opinion, but all of you impressed me from the beginning with how much you valued me as an associate and a client. I remember with great fondness Manzar inviting me into her office after I worked with the woman who originally signed me up ( I am embarrassed that I have forgotten her name -- it seems like I have worked with you from the beginning) Manzar also assist me with her time & knowledge to get me out of a possible big lawsuit with my tenant when we had a bed bag problem. It saved me thousands of dollars in legal fees... I firmly believe that details like that are almost as important as the amount of rent one ends up earning. How many transactions do we remember with people we do business with? Not many.

Azari has been providing excellent service from the owner point of view. They really treat the property as if it is their own and were extreme fast in helping me find a replacement renter when my existing tenant wanted to break the lease. Their prices are very reasonable and I have not had any problems with them.

I am surprised to see so little reviews and so low rating on Yelp because I recall there were couple more reviews with higher ratings before but somehow Yelp had taken some off? Anyway - I cannot speak from the renter's point of view, but if you own property that you wanted to rent out, Azari can definitely help you if you don't want to deal with any of the hassle of dealing with the renter.

I hired Azari Property Management to manage my properties starting in 2008 when they were a much smaller company. I highly recommend Manzar and her company if you are looking for a property management company. She is very honest, smart, proactive, and responsible. These values are propagated throughout all her staff. They are responsive to tenant requests for repairs and always provides me very reasonable repair quotes as they await my approval. The pictures from the property inspection help me see the condition of my property. My properties are kept in good shape under their management. The accounting reports make tax time very easy for me. Her real estate know-how has help guide fair rental negotiations as the rental market fluctuates. I’m very happy with her property management service.

Azari is the property manager on our 6 unit HOA. They have been handling our day to day affairs.

We've found Azari to be very responsive with maintenance issues and helpful in keeping our HOA disciplined financially with regular reports. We've had several maintenance incidents where they've gone above and beyond in getting us to a quick resolution.

As a property owner, I was reluctant to hire a property management company until I needed to leave the country for three years for my work and was forced to find someone local to manage our property. Since this time, I've returned and felt that I should share my experience with Azari Prop Management.

*** Strengths ***

First, I found that they were clear, fair, and firm (when needed) in dealing with tenants. They were clear, fair and firm (when needed) when dealing with property owner. This was music to my ears! Trust is the most important aspect of property management services.

Second, they never tried to milk my contracts for extra money. All repairs they did were straightforward and typically they look for ways to reduce costs sensibly. Having their own maintenance staff, repairs they can do are performed quickly and cost effectively. For larger repairs, they were able to coordinate well with outside vendors.

Third, they kept me informed about any issues occurring with the property so I could be involved (or uninvolved) as I wanted. This is great to keep tabs on long-term health of the property.

Fourth, they worked with tenants and leases that I had put in place (different from their standard stuff) and were willing and able to navigate all of that without issues or extra charges.

Fifth, they are very personable and responsive. They establish a high level of trust in their dealings. (Most management companies have hidden clauses that incur extra costs...Azari's group is totally clear and straightforward.)

Sixth, management fees are very reasonable compared to other companies in SF and nationwide.

*** Areas where they could improve ***

First, the only time they dropped the ball during the 3 years was during a personnel change. Once they were aware that something fell through the cracks, they remedied it immediately.

Second, we hired them to find new tenants for one unit during our absence. I believe this is a service that is outsourced to a different part of the company. We felt that while they were fast in finding tenants for the apartment, the specific people handling the job of advertising and showing the unit were not very savvy with the SF market and not very good at posting an appealing ad. We became involved to make suggestions and improvements to bring this process up to our standards. They were able to find new tenants within our expected time frame so we were satisfied.

Also, I've dealt with other property management companies in the interim (for investment properties in other States) and have never found a company that I could trust as much as Azari Property Management. I will definitely use their services again.

Given some of the contentious reviews, I start with the disclaimer that I received nothing for writing this. I am not an employee. I received no discount. Etc.

Azari has a few parts to their business. One is property management. I can't speak to that. The other is rental. I can speak to that.

I have used Azari twice now to rent (find a tenant for) my condo in south beach SF. Once this past month and once about 14 months ago.

They were very agressive (in a good way) about renting this property for me. They were aggressive about getting keys from me to access it; photographing it; posting it; and (perhaps against policy of sites like craigslist) frequently reposting it. "Time to fill" is key when you are trying to rent a place. For a $4000/month property, every week the property is unrented costs you $1000.

When my old tennant moved out, they inspected the place, took and sent me pictures of issues, and offered to fix them at reasonable handyman rates. I now live in San Diego, so I took them up on all their offers.

They were extremely responsive by email and phone during this rental (and fixup) period often answering emails late at night and on weekend.

There are some ways the process could have been smoother (hence 4 stars instead of 5). But I'd rather have aggressive and successful, than smooth and slow.

If my tennant leaves and the property comes up for rent, I'll happily use Azari again.

Here I would like to pay special thanks to Raymond who had done an excellent job in showing my place and his dedication, reliance, great listening skills, and willingness to improve/fine-tone the process earned my trust and my respect/my business. We recommend Azari Property Management to anyone seeking a property manager. They are not only courteous, thorough and professional, but are focused on providing excellent customer service to their clients.

I learned about Azari Property Management Company (APM) from on-line reviews. In 2008 I hired APM, and within 2-weeks I had a qualified renter. They ran a credit check, required proof of employment, etc., etc. He's been an excellent renter.

APM is an extremely professional company to work with. I receive monthly and annual statements and rent is deposited the same time every month and has never been late. Semiannual inspections are performed to check the filters, smoke alarms and rain gutters. Any repairs I'm notified by email for approval. APM expects an answer in a timely manner so any delay I'm contacted by phone. Azari is a business women. She's very firm and direct and makes sure any repairs, etc. that need to be done are affordable and are done in a timely manner. That's exactly what I expect from my Management Company. Her staff is nice and professional. I can't speak highly enough about APM. I would hire Azari herself to run my business.

I recently gave notice that I'm selling my condo. APM has again been extremely professional and helpful in this transition. They're working with my tenant on locating a new place and have been just fantastic.

I highly suggest to any property owner to contact APM. They are an excellent company to put your most valuable asset in the care of.

I had the pleasure of learning about Azari Property Management last summer. My wife and I were in the process of moving to Seattle and wanted to rent out our place through a property management company that was both professional and trustworthy.

The Azari Property Management has been managing our property since last July. I first met Manzar when she started Azari Property Management about four years ago. She turned an idea she developed as an MBA student at UCLA into reality. Four years later, I am still impressed that what she visualized has been actualized. What makes any business successful? Knowledge, know-how, a determined will and the ability to build personal relationships. Manzar has brought all these things into the property management business. From a landlord's perspective, I have found Manzar and her crew at APM very astute in their business acumen. They understand the rental market and the fluctuations in it and advise me accordingly. As a property owner who lives overseas and returns to San Francisco infrequently, Manzar's counsel has been invaluable in ensuring our property yields the best returns, especially during the recent economic downturn. While I'm away, they e-mail me pictures for repairs that are done as well as during their frequent inspections. So when I return, I'm never surprised. The APM maintenance crew is always reliable and fair in what they charge. And one of the most impressive things I have noticed with Manzar is that just as she and the APM team maintain good contact with me as the property owner, they also pay equal attention to the needs and concerns of the tenants. That is the underlying philosophy of APM that makes them so successful. Early on, Manzar conveyed this aspect of her business plan -- a property manager acts as a mediator between the property owner and the tenant; and tenants who are happy take greater care of the houses they live in. But I think it it is much more than that ... Manzar, and the people who work with her, are intrinsically warm, friendly, respectful and caring. When a tenant has a concern, APM contacts me wherever I may be to inform me of a problem. Then they are persistent to ensure that the tenant's concerns are satisfied. This works to ensure that maintenance issues do not snowball into bigger problems, and also that the expectations that the tenant has of living in a good dwelling are met. I have to admit that there are times when I am unreachable and APM has to take the heat from the tenant while they await my response when my approval is mandatory before a big repair. It is unfortunate when it happens, and feel bad that since they are on the frontline when it comes to property issues, they take the blame when it really resides with me. While her core business is in the SF Bay Area, I recently asked Manzar to manage a property I own in Los Angeles because I have not found the level of service and care down there that she provides now. Being away, the saying "Go with what you know!" has served me well. I know Manzar, I know the quality of work she produces at APM, and I have the utmost confidence that she not only looks to ensure my financial well-being, but the satisfaction and contentment of the tenants she places in my properties. I highly recommend Manzar and Azari Property Management to property owners and tenants alike. Property owners will know that their investments will be well cared for in the best manner possible, and, if their persistence in communication a tenant's concerns are any indication, tenants can be assured that they will be looked after!

I have been with this company from their early years, and they now manage 4 units in 3 cities for me. I have appreciated their timely, ethical, and personal service. The latter is great given the attitude of many larger competitors. My books are kept very well, I receive timely information on repairs needed by tenants, and they collaborate well to take care of my property and provide high quality service to my tenants. As they have grown they have not experienced the typical growing pains of uninformed staff, depersonalized service, etc. This likely stems from great management at the top.

Manzar cares about taking care of her clients. We were searching for a new property management company for our 22 unit condo property. Manzar's price quote/services were VERY competitive so we decided to take a chance.
As president of the HOA board at our complex, I worked very closely with Manzar and was in constant contact by either email or phone. She was always professional and did her best to accommodate our many requests. Also, because our HOA barely had enough funds to get by, Manzar didn't increase her management fees for 3 years!
Hands down, it was a good decision to go with Azari Property Management.

Eugenia Mantzoros marketed the place so well, that it rented out in less than two weeks. She coordinated schedules with the current tenants to find times to show the unit, and she kept me informed of her progress the entire time. Azari Property Management helped us find two tenants for our condominium at Candlestick Point. They have a very good organization headed by Manzar.
Azari take a lot of time with communication and keep you abreast of everything as it takes place.
We were very lucky to have them finding our tenants, we did not have to go even one month without our unit occupied.

Azari Property Management sent me an e-mail advising to upgrade my insurance listing my property as tenant-occupied.
I checked with the policy that I have for my rental condominium and found that I did not have "loss of rent" coverage. This email caused me to go over my policy with my agent and make sure that all the scenarios that they mentioned are covered. One thing that surprised me about the "Loss of Rental" income was that it was so cheap, only $24 per year for $15,000 of coverage, which equates to my tenant being out of the unit for 6 months. I spend $24 a month on my Starbucks bill, so I thought that was a great deal, and something I wouldn't have thought about if they hadn't sent the email.

I tremendously enjoyed working with John for his professionalism, dedication, timely updates on each showings, and most of all his great sense of humor. Azari took on the task of managing my SF condo when I relocated to TX. They are very knowledgeable about the SF rental markets and set expectations on day 1. There is a lot of legwork involved in finding a renter, and it was a huge relief to have them take on this task. The team worked together to get the unit ready for rental (painting, carpet cleaning, etc), market the property, and schedule showings. Yianni (John), Brandon, Yong, et al, were so great to work with. They gave me regular status updates and went above and beyond to find a good tenant. When I decided to hire a management firm to manage renting my condo in San Francisco, I didn't really know how important this decision would be for me. I phoned Azari on a Sunday needing help quickly to find a leasing property for my foreign client. They actually phoned me back. On a Sunday! This past spring my company asked me to relocate to the NorthEast for a few years. PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY and most importantly FAST!

At first, I've interviewed quite a few PM companies in the San Jose area, then I found a property management company who said they have over 100 years of experience in the Santa Clara county and they promised to rent it with in 2 weeks at top dollar. All baloney! Almost 4 months went by and not a soul visited my condo. Then I went to Azari Property Management hoping that they can rent out my condo for me in a timely manner. To my surprise, both Manzar and Shawn were very friendly, professional and did not give me any baloney. In just a little over 2 weeks, they secure 2 highly qualified tenants in contract at the rental rate I wanted and my condo was occupied just a few weeks after. My problem was solved. Bottom line, Azari Property Management is Professional, Friendly and fast. I highly recommend their services.

I wanted to get my place in the mission rented fast. Within a week, Manzar and Inna had set up open houses, within a couple weeks she found a tenant and had a rental agreement all set up. The best thing is that both Manzar and Inna have been very responsive. I had called a few other property managers and ended up playing phone tag. If you call Manzar she either picks up within a few rings or calls you back within minutes.

The owner and staff are very professional and friendly. I had interviewed other property management firms in San Francisco and her company was the only one that came across as easy and straightforward to work with. Mrs. Azari is very responsive and she is proactive in her dealings with the owners and tenants. I have no doubt that she would be my first choice in handling my other properties when I choose to rent them out.

I currently live overseas in Sydney, Australia and just recently finished remodeling a 2 unit complex home in San Francisco. I was looking for a property management team that could manage our property in SF while we are overseas indefinitely and chose Azari Management based on their reviews from tenants and property owners on the internet. I have been very impressed with the level of service the company and staff, particularly Manzar (the owner), and Inna have provided me. The service is wonderful and first class - it's prompt, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. Problems are addressed immediately and given full attention. They have done a great job so far and I would highly recommend them.

One year ago I needed to begin renting my apartment because I was moving out of state. I did a significant amount of research because I was so concerned about finding a property manager who would care for my house as much as I do. Manzar Azari was by far the best of anyone I found, and has exceeded all of my expectations over that time frame.

During my research, Manzar willingly gave me tenant and client contact information so that I could research her more fully. Each of her references were glowing, and now I understand why. Manzar took care of finding me my new tenants, negotiating my rent, and signing the lease. Over the past year, her management company has sent me monthly statements on time, and transferred the money to my account like clockwork.

In addition, one of my tenants recently had to move out before the lease was up. Manzar's company took care of everything (including a credit check), and everything seems to be working out perfectly. I recommend Manzar's services to anyone who is looking for a very personal relationship with their property manager.

This small company provides outstanding personalized service. They manage my 2 unit home in SF. Their strengths include: timely response to inquiries and tenant issues, terrific screening and selection of tenants, careful yearly inspections, timely updates on maintenance, and well organized record keeping. Their gut feelings about rent amounts are dead on. Their fees were very reasonable, esp compared to larger management firms. I think what is best is that each issue is handled in a customized, personal way that just does not happen in larger companies. I will use them again if I have other properties to manage. Highest recommendation.
